Jordan IV was designed by Tinker Hatfield and released in 1989. It inherited the visible Air unit and mid upper from the Jordan III – but it’s less robust. Iconic mesh panels and a unique lacing support system with the shoe’s iconic “wings” were introduced with this silhuouette. OG colorways were equipped with Nike Air branding on the heel, the retroed versions which released later already featured Jordan branding. The Jordan 4’s are memorable because of Jordans’s most successful season and also from the ‘Do the Right Thing’ movie.
